Online courses:
When you register – sent an automated message from RIDE. Sent to the email address associated with your CELP account.
Once you register with CELP, Elaine has to manually enter employee into the system. Might take a couple of days. They will get the email from RIDE. All the info is on the CELP site. You have 30 days and then your access expires.
Assessments – need to have RIELDS in front of you to pass. Developed them to be used, want them to be used.
Question – Missy Davis, process a new hire should go through with the RIELDS?
Reviewed the one-pager with RIELDS requirements flow chart.
Everyone needs to take 9 Domains. Once you have completed those 2, if you’re a TA, you’re done. A Teacher would then move through the next 2. Staff with RIELS (before RIELDS) – those are no longer valid for BrightStars. If they took the update session on the new RIELDS, they don’t have to redo Foundational courses. If you have staff with valid certificates that are outdated, the information in them has changed.
Certificates after 2017 should be in the employee’s CELP account. If they’re not there, then email Elaine. Send her any info on the employee so she can search the database.
Not a full-time RIDE employee, so she might not answer immediately.
Went over this weekend’s early childhood conference – previously emailed an exclusive offer to BOCA members.
Strolling Thunder is May 1st – BOCA will have a table, Haley & Rebecca will be there
Who would you like to hear from? What questions do you have? Any suggestions?
Susan – shares with a lot of schools when she’s visiting, is it ok to invite them to a meeting? Rebecca – yes, please do! Suggested sending an email to BOCA ribusinessownersinchildcare@gmail.com and we’ll send a calendar invite/meeting info.
Reminder that May meeting is a week early, to avoid Memorial Day.
No other topics of discussion.
