From Child Care Aware® of America:
Last night, the Senate passed an extension of the Paycheck Protection Program to allow small businesses to continue to apply for assistance during the pandemic, sending the bill to the House of Representatives. Unfortunately, they failed to do the same with important legislation that would establish a $50 billion emergency stabilization fund for child care. This is unacceptable, the child care industry is struggling and needs support to make it through this crisis.
Contact your Senators now to let them know that child care needs at least $50 billion in relief immediately. Safe, affordable, and accessible child care is a vital pillar of our economy and is essential for millions of families across the country. Let your Senators know today: without child care, there will be no recovery. Sincerely,
Anne Hedgepeth
